Compared with the natural rattan, the man-made plastic imitating rattan products have the following advantages: to be harmless to human beings, no cracking deformation, free from pollution, and durable in use. The imitating rattan product is good for the indoors, the villa, the gazebo, the teahouse, the outdoors and the beach. The imitating rattan is usually finely made from PE, PP, PVC plastic with smooth surface, strong toughness and anti-aging. For the imitating rattan products, the main processing needs are the rich simulation of color, the anti-tensile properties and anti-aging properties.
 
Composition
 
Basic carrier: LLDPE, PP, etc.
          Or carrier adjusted according to the customer’s requirements.
Other: Concentrated pigments of simulating rattan.
 
Color Solution
 
Only the rich, natural and realistic colors and modeling to make the imitating rattan products have the marketing competitiveness, and thus the simulating color of the rattan will be the most important quality factor for the products.
For currently market, by two ways to gain the simulating color: 1）toner；2）color masterbatch..
The advantages of toner: Simple, rapid, short procurement cycle.
The disadvantages of toner: Easily cause the processing environment polluted not to meet the environmental requirements of the production; easily damage the grinding head of the processing machine; meanwhile, the product dispersion is not the best; the quality is not stable enough not to meet the developmental requirements of the environmental protection and future high quality product market, which will be gradually eliminated.
The advantages of Masterbatch: environmental protecting, clean, stable quality, good dispersion, to meet the developmental requirements of the environmental protection and high quality product market.
The disadvantage of the masterbatch: product costs increased a little more. However, To take account of the marketing requirement to get rid of the homogenization of low-quality competition, it is an inevitable solution of the simulating color for the imitating rattan to use the masterbatch.
There are two demands for the quality of the masterbatch: Masterbatch need to achieve the two-point requirements: heavy metals environmental protection and accurate color matching.
 
Composition
 
Imitating rattan product is usually for outdoor use, therefore it has a high demands for weatherability. The color stability should last at least for 3-5 years, and the tremendous performance degradation won’t occur both in the toughness and the tensile strength.
Based on the many years’ research for the artificial rattan anti-aging products, we aim at different colors and different materials to adjust the composition of the anti-aging additives according to the features of the artificial rattan products so as to obtain the most effective and the most savings anti-aging solutions.
The following are the test comparison of the different artificial rattan products which was separately made by our anti-aging solution and the customer’s former one.
